Email template forms provide a programming tool for you to create default email letters with ticket specific data.   You may edit these templates as needed.

Once you create, edit and save a new email template form, this email form will appear as a option to be added on any ticket email.

How To Create:

From the company setup page select templates and open email templates.  Select New or open any existing email template form.  Your goal is to create an email letter that would be appropriate to send to many of your customers.  The purpose of this template is to use a form email letter with ticket specific data such as customer name, ticket title, date, etc.  To add ticket specific items choose an email code to be added to the form.  Your email form will look like this:  Thank you (first name) (last name) for this .....  Your email will will look like this:  Thank you Bob Buess for this.....

To see how your form letter looks, email yourself a copy from the email page of a ticket.

Hint:  Create a letter using customer name, ticket number and anything else you would like to say.  Once you have a letter open the email template page and begin putting the words from your letter in the template.  Each place you come to something specific about the ticket substitute the specific item for a generic word found in your email codes.  Select a code.  Remember to put a space or comma, etc. when you add a code.  Once you get it like you think it should be, save it.  Now open a ticket and this template is available to use on the email page.  Select it and email it to yourself.  Go back and correct it until you get it just like you want it.
